Paige LaRosa

My friend Jake got his head shaved the other night at the Warrington, PA Fire House.  He told me it was to show support for his classmate Paige LaRosa who has ovarian cancer and had to shave her head because of the cancer treatments. Hundreds of people went to the fundraiser that night and got their heads shaved to support Paige.  You can look at some of the pictures people who went to the fundraiser posted on Twitter using #shaveforpaige

I don’t know Paige, she doesn’t go to my school, but when I heard about her story and how brave and strong she is, I really wanted to help.  I didn’t even know that kids could get ovarian cancer, and I bet a lot of other people don’t either.

I asked my mom what we could do to help Paige.  I want to help her and her family with any bills they have from her medicine, but I also want to help more people know about Paige’s story.  Maybe if more people know, more people will want to also help Paige.

I really want to help Paige because my grandma had cancer and I didn’t really have a chance to do anything about it.  But now I do, and I will.

I made a video for Paige and put it on my SkysCars facebook page. My parents said they will donate $1 for every share that the video gets.  So far it has 182 shares since last night.  I hope it can get to the 2000 shares that my mom said she would donate $1 each for.

I also hope that Paige sees the video and likes it.
